5 Atlanta Pediatricians for the New (or seasoned!) Mama

Boykin-Lawrenceville-Angie's Perspective PhotographyWhether you’re a brand new mama-to-be, or a seasoned pro, keeping an eye on our little ones to make sure they’re happy and healthy, especially now more than ever. Whether you need a sickness treated now or you’d like to prevent one in the future, you might be wondering just where in the Metro Atlanta area can you even find somebody to deliver what your babies need most. Well, I figured I’d do some of my own digging so that you don’t have to. In no particular order, here’s a list of five Pediatricians you can find right in the Metro Atlanta area!

Pediatric Partners of Gwinnett

With several locations including Lilburn, Lithonia, Norcross, Peachtree and Stone Mountain, Pediatric Partners has been happily and successfully serving Gwinnett for the past 35 years. They diagnose from Asthma to ADHD to Autism, and test hearing and vision.

Peachtree Park Pediatrics

Starting in the early 1940s, Peachtree Park Pediatrics stands as one of the oldest practicing pediatrics in Atlanta—over 70 years, in fact! Pope- Fresh 48 - Lawrenceville - Angies Perspective PhotographyThese guys are quite active when it comes to helping out their community, being known to partner with Emory University of Medicine in order to train pediatric residents and medical students and even acting as leaders with the American Board of Pediatrics, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Kids Health First, and the Georgia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Intown Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine, P.C.

Having first started in 2006 in Grant Park before moving to a larger (and warmer) location in Glenwood Park and opening up a second (just as warm) Brookhaven location in 2017, Intown Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine, P.C. has many well-trained pediatrics and social workers. For you best experience, they use a program called CHADIS in order to learn exactly what your child needs.

Merinda Herron PC

First opening its doors in 2004, Merinda Herron is not the same as any other of this list—the

name you read is the sole practitioner here. Though this doesn’t make her less qualified than anyone else. Dr. Herron received a Psychology Bachelors back in 1973, as well as her MD in
1977. She’s been practicing as far back as 1980, be it at the South Baltimore Family Health Center until 1983 or the Meridian Medical Group from 1996 until 2002. And with her pride as mother, seamstress and chef, her clinic is sure to be as warm and comforting as her home.

Children’s Medical Group, P.C.

Having been placed on the map back in 1947, Children’s Medical Group has offices in Atlanta, Johns Creek and Decatur. They’ll check up on your child be they sick or well, from birth to adolescence. They manage the likes from ADHD to Asthma and even deal with ear piercings.
Best of all, they offer Telemedicine Visits, or “Televisits”, for those symptoms that can’t be diagnosed via telephone or computer. Pretty important and nifty considering the current events in our world today.
